On Friday, March 13th, History and Social Studies classes from Citrus and surrounding counties will invade the battlefield and surrounding camps for an in-depth peek at 19th Century life during the Civil War Era. Once again, students will tour several stations, each designed to represent different facets of soldiers' and civilians' lives. Reenactor "guides" will assist the groups through the stations. This event is not open to the public, but provides a chance for reenactors to share their hobby and passion for history with students from local schools.

If you are a reenactor (either soldier or civilian), and would be willing to assist us with this project, we would be very appreciative. We are offering a BBQ meal to all reenactors who can help.

If you are an administrator or classroom teacher who would like to participate in the 2008 Education Day, we would love to hear from you as soon as possible.
